    1. Water. Drink at least 8 glasses of filtered or spring water each day. Drinking water throughout the day helps to cleanse the body, release toxins and dissolve fat. It is also important for healthy, clear skin and to maintain normal bowel regularity. In many cases, an extra glass of water can satisfy your hunger craving.

    2. Exercise. To make your weight management program as successful as possible, you must include a regular aerobic exercise regime. Regular exercise can improve your health, boost your energy and burn extra calories. It will also help maintain proper weight and fitness after you have stopped your weight-loss program. You should aim for a minimum of 20 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise 3-4 times per week with your doctor's approval.     3. Eating Habits. Eat slower. Put your knife and fork down between bites. This can slow your eating between bites. The reason this is important is that it takes 20 minutes for the stomach to signal the brain that you are full. Eat only one moderate-sized portion - no seconds. Eat sitting down in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, free of distractions such as television, telephones or reading materials. Eating with distractions is unconscious eating which tends to cause overeating.

    4. Food Choices. Always choose foods that are sugar free, low in fat and sodium and high in fiber. Dietary fat is the single biggest factor in the formation of fat cells in the body. Foods you choose should never contain more than 20% fat. Refined sugar (sucrose, dextrose, corn sweetener. etc.) is counterproductive to weight loss because it converts into fat while it slows down the burning of the body's stored fat. Foods high in sodium have been linked to high blood pressure and tend to cause the body to retain fluid. High fiber foods promote bowel regularity and also act as an appetite suppressant.

    5. Goals. Individual weight loss varies depending upon a variety of factors: caloric intake, personal motivation, body metabolism and how closely you follow The Soy Miracle Ultimate Body Program. Avoid the temptation to get on the scale every day. For best results, weigh yourself only once per week. Aim to lose 3 to 4 pounds the first week and about 2 pounds each week thereafter. Slower weight loss is healthier for you and will make the program more enjoyable.
