On February 28, 1993, the famous American TV program "60 Minutes" reported on the astonishing results of a tumor study done in Cuba in 1992 through early 1993. In the study, 29 stage III and stage IV terminal cancer patients (with six months or less to live) were given only Shark Cartilage for treatment. Fourteen of the 29 were alive and well, when according to most medical experts they should have been dead. Most of those who were dead died from causes other than cancer. Moreover, the pain level in all patients was reduced within 4 weeks, and was completely gone in 5 weeks.
Among the patients was an 83-year-old ex-boxer who had prostate cancer. He was shown running after the miraculous recovery. The impression of this running man was so convincing that all Shark Cartilage available from health food stores were sold out shortly after the TV program.
For many years, researchers have been studying the unique properties of Bovine (cow) cartilage. These studies led to the discovery of shark cartilage because it contained similar properties. Bovine cartilage makes up only 0.6% of a cow's body and the fat in bovine cartilage requires a chemical to clean it. 1mg of the active ingredient requires 500g of bovine cartilage. On the other hand, shark skeletons are all cartilage and make up 6-8% of the total body weight. No chemicals are used in cleaning shark cartilage because there is almost no fat content. 1mg of active ingredient requires only 0.5g of Shark Cartilage. So Shark Cartilage contains 1,000 times the amount of active ingredients compared to bovine cartilage. Sharks are unique among living creatures in that they almost never get sick. They are known for being highly resistant to infections. Their wounds almost never become infected.
Shark Cartilage is an excellent source of calcium and phosphorus. It also contains amino acids and a family of carbohydrates called Mucopolysaccharides.
In January of 1993, Dr. Simone, who directs the Simone Protective Cancer Institute in Lawrenceville, N.J., ran an unpublished study where he used oral Shark Cartilage treatment with twenty patients. 50% of the patients reported improvement in quality of life and about 25% experienced shrinkage of their tumors. One patient was completely cured in eight weeks (Health & Healing 1994).
Further studies showed that some proteins in Shark Cartilage inhibited the formation of new blood vessels, effectively depriving tumors of nutrients and oxygen. The Mucopolysaccharide also stimulates the immune system to eliminate the cancerous cells. These two factors work synergistically.
In October of 1993, an application was submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approval of Shark Cartilage as an experiemental drug for cancer. The approval was granted in early 1994. The efficiency of the approval process was unprecedented.
Shark Cartilage is NOT effective for leukemia, lymphoma, or Hodgkins' Disease.
Shark Cartilage has been used as food by the Chinese for centuries as shark fin soup. In over eight years of laboratory testing and consumer use, there has never been any report of side effect.
Particle size is very important for quick absorption of the ingredients before they are attacked and destroyed by acids in the stomach. Smaller particles are better.
Testimonials from users of Shark Cartilage will be included in future updates.
