OTHER BIBLE TEACHINGS 3
(In addition to Matthew, Chapters 5 to 7)
- Blessed are those who mourn ...(Mt 5:4)
(Note: Someone taught his children never drink wine all
their life (Jer 35, Prov 31, 2 Kings 5:26) Jesus taught
us to have "walking as in mourning, and NOT playful
and laugh" attitude, do you know why? "Play the
harlot after demons (Ex 34:12-16) " attitude is not
fun.)
- You shall not fear other gods or bow yourselves to them
or serve them or sacrifice to them; but you shall fear
the LORD,...(2 Kings 17:35-39, Is 8)
(Note: The might of LORD is more than billions of atomic
bombs. LORD allows demons to afflict us because LORD
wants us learn emergency handling.)
- Blessed are the poor in spirit,....(Mt 5:3)
(Note: Do not say, "I know it already." There
are lots of things we do not know. "Learn, improve,
all through our life" should be our attitude. Can
you answer all questions LORD asked Job on Job 38,39?)
- ...for the LORD is a God of recompense, he will surely
requite. (Jer 51:56)
(Note: Requital is 2 times, even 7 times. Fear the LORD.
(Lev 26, Deut 32:22-25) )
- But the person who does anything with a high hand,
whether he is native or sojourner, reviles the LORD, and
that person shall be cut off from among his people. (Num
15:30-31)
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and
throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your
members than that your whole body go into hell. (Mt 5:30,
Luke 16:19-31)
When men fall, do they not rise again? If one turns away,
does he not return? (Jer 8:4)
(Note: When we sin unwittingly, do not listen to demons
and give up. Humble ourself, correct ourself, confess our
sin to LORD, and never do that again. Do not depart from
LORD. But never do anything high-handedly.)
- There shall be one law for the native and for the
sojourners among you. (Ex 12:49)
(Note: DO NOT join gang. If you join gang, all your
fellow gangsters are right, and all opposite gangsters
are wrong.)
Note: Bible contains many practical knowledge which are useful
in the present dangerous world:
- Woman has a discharge of blood is in impurity for 7 days.
During impurity, she should rest.
- A woman who gives birth to a male child is in impurity
for 40 days.
If she gives birth to a female child, she is in impurity
for 80 days.
- What are clean living things that may be eaten, and what
are unclean living things that may not be eaten.
- If one touches a dead body, or bone of dead man, or
grave, or someone in his house dies, he should sprinkle
himself as well as the house with "water of
impurity" on the 3rd and 7th day;.
- If one touches any unclean things, or has eaten the
carcass of an animal which dies by itself, should wash
his clothes, and bathe himself in water before the sun
goes down.
