The Euronet Championships took place in sunny Nottingham on June 9th 1996.....With Internet Football mailing list teams from around the Country and from abroad gathering to fight it out to see who would be champions.

As some of you know, apart from running this Web site, I also run the Boro mailing list.... so a Boro team was entered - The Middlesbrough Cellnetters - And that man of the moment Dave Roberts was put in charge of getting the troups together, and sorting out the strip.

What a good job he did too, as out of all the teams that showed up we had by far the best turn out, and not only that but we also got hold of the Boro's reserve team kit.

I would really like to thank Alex Wilson for his time and effort to get me down to Nottingham that day (and for taking all the pics), without which I wouldn't have got to meet so many of my mailing list members.

Anyway enough already! The full write ups of all the games come from Jon Todd & Mike Dawson, very comprehensive if I must say ! They pretty much sum up the whole day.

....... oh and by the way we won the Championships :-) and our own Rob Notman got the player of the tournament award.
